Betty Gaming has announced an additional CAD $3,842,852 in funding for community organizations in northern Ontario. The contribution follows more than CAD $2 million provided in May 2026 and will support community services.
The new funding brings total contributions to about CAD $5.84 million. Betty Gaming said the money is distributed through Ontario’s regulated charitable gaming system, which directs part of online gaming revenue to licensed charities.
The funding follows Betty Gaming’s acquisition of the Kirkland Lake Bingo Hall in late 2025. Through the Kirkland and Area Bingo Association, a share of the company’s Ontario online gaming revenue supports eligible local organizations. The first contribution supported many groups in the area.
Some projects aim to make sports more accessible. One club has used funding to buy training equipment and help families cover costs such as shoes and uniforms. It also paid for players to attend a Toronto Tempo game, giving young athletes a chance to watch professional women’s basketball.
The Kirkland Lake Aquatic Club Stingrays is covering swimmers’ competition fees and improving training. Plans include underwater camera technology, upgraded starting blocks, and a training camp led by an Olympic athlete. The club will also sponsor monthly community swims over the next year.
Funding is also helping preserve important local places. Save The LaSalle, the non-profit group responsible for the historic LaSalle Theatre, has cleared its outstanding debt with support from the contribution. The organization can now focus on repairs and restoration.
Michael Rawley, the group’s managing artistic director, said removing the debt allows it to protect the theatre for future generations. The venue remains an important part of Kirkland Lake’s cultural history.
Paroisse Assomption Parish has used its funding for essential maintenance, including outdoor lighting and washroom fixtures. The parish has also covered operating costs. Planned work includes heating and window upgrades, alongside more support for its Christmas basket program.
Betty Gaming said the latest contribution builds on its longer-term support for the region. The funding is connected to Ontario’s regulated gaming framework and the operation of the local bingo hall. This links online gaming revenue with charities that provide services for the community.
The announcement highlights projects already under way. Sports clubs have purchased equipment and helped families meet participation costs, while the theatre has moved closer to restoration. The parish has also completed practical facility improvements.
Several projects are already moving forward. The new funding gives Kirkland Lake organizations more resources to continue their work. The act by Betty Gaming is a large contribution to the charities that rely on donations and community support.
In this case, support reaches youth recreation, a historic venue, and a parish serving the francophone community.
Betty Gaming operates as a licensed online casino and iBingo provider. Its charitable contributions are made through the province’s established system, and the company operates under an agreement with iGaming Ontario. The latest announcement adds to funding already provided this year and explains how local organizations are using the money.
The effect will be felt through activities and facilities that need improvement. Betty's contribution will surely support projects impacting the community. This sponsorship shows that gaming brands have far more reach when it comes to supporting the community rather than being a sponsor for major leagues.
